90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Season 8, Episode 1. TLC. Sunday, Oct. 4.
Andi says a psychic told her she’d meet her soulmate on a beach. She did. Now she’s having doubts hours before her flight to Australia. In the Marines we call that checking the plan. Good. Jessy is moving from the Bronx to Italy. The show’s own preview has her hunting for Florence on a map. I respect anyone who checks the map. Vittorio says there’s something she doesn’t know yet. It hasn’t aired. I don’t guess. I wait.
The Amazing Race 39. Episode 3. CBS. Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Teams smashed jugs in Morocco, stacked fruit on a wall and fed camels. A mother-daughter team won a leg for the first time ever. Then the show cut to “To Be Continued” with two teams still running. Nobody went home. I have not sat down since.
Big Brother 28. Finale aired Oct. 1. CBS.
Devens won, 6–1, after voting out Drew, the player he called his “son.” Later he called it his hardest decision all summer and said Drew gets a nice dinner. Bottom line: he picked the money, then promised a cheeseburger. Fair trade.
Threat level: Call My Wife.
The gavel: Do I hear a “son,” a “son,” who’ll give me a “son,” SOLD, to the man with the $750,000 check.
Next episode outlook: 90 Day continues Sunday, Oct. 11. The Amazing Race cliffhanger ends Wednesday, Oct. 14.
