“Twenty years in the Marines. Nothing prepared me for the reunion special.”

Based only on what aired, plus news that was publicly reported. No rumors this week.

JUST THE FACTS. Survivor 51, Episode 3, aired on CBS on Wed. Oct. 7. Rob Antonson quit over fear that a small foot cut would get infected. Dr. Barry had found no infection. Rob gave his hidden immunity idol to Carter Krull. The handoff happened off camera. Patt Cannaday was then voted out, 6–5. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, “Kiasu, Kancheong, and Carry On,” aired on TLC on Sun. Oct. 11. Nigel greeted Andi at an Australian airport with a flash mob: dancers, bubbles and a live bearded dragon. Sources: TVLine, The Times Herald, Gold Derby (Survivor); Extra, MemorableTV (90 Day). Everything after this box is Boyd’s.

BOTTOM LINE FIRST. One man left over a cut the doctor cleared. One man met his partner with a lizard. I respect them both. I understand neither.

SURVIVOR 51. Episode 3 · CBS · Wed. Oct. 7. Rob had a small cut on his foot. He worried it would get infected. Dr. Barry checked and found no infection. Rob left anyway. That’s his call. A man knows his own foot. Before he left, he handed his hidden idol to Carter. The cameras didn’t show it. We learned it after. In the Corps, we call that a supply drop with no paperwork. Then Patt was voted out, 6–5. One vote. I’ve sold cattle by wider margins.

90 DAY FIANCÉ: THE OTHER WAY. “Kiasu, Kancheong, and Carry On” · TLC · Sun. Oct. 11. Nigel met Andi at an airport in Australia with a flash mob. Dancers. Bubbles. A live bearded dragon. Twenty years in the Marines, and nobody ever brought a lizard. Airport: Threat Level High. Lizard: Low. He was the calmest one there.

THE GAVEL. Do I hear a bubble, a bubble, who’ll give me a bubble, do I hear a lizard, a lizard, SOLD, to the man at Arrivals.

NEXT EPISODE OUTLOOK. Boyd’s outlook (a guess, not intel): Survivor: the idol will come up at camp. Visibility poor. Alliances unstable. 90 Day: the lizard’s role is unclear. I’m watching him.

POLL (just for fun). Flash mob at the airport: romantic, or a security problem? Reply with your intel. No odds. No bets. Boyd says go to bed.

HOME FRONT. Darlene says the TV room needs more tissues. I don’t know why she’d say that. Moving on. The stapler is still missing. My file is open.

THE GARAGE WHITEBOARD. New string went up this week. What it connects is need-to-know. Writing blurred on purpose.
